Daniel Grimm is a writer, editor, and publisher who's worked in comics since 2019, editing several award-winning comics and managing multiple successful crowdfunding campaigns. In 2023, he created Grimmcore Studios, an independent publisher dedicated to developing underground horror comics. Daniel is extremely passionate about telling interesting, exciting horror stories and helping creatives develop the best comics in the industry.

Writer
Rafael Flores Jr. is an award-winning Chicano writer and Librarian from DFW Texas. He was a Double Finalist in the Negative Space Short Comic Competition in 2022 with his first two short comics, "The Return of Camazotz" and "Mother Wolf and Cubs". He studied Cinematic Comic Book Writing at the Joe Kubert School, taught by Blake Northcott, Editor-in-Chief of Massive Publishing. His first published work was his short comic, "The Return of Camazotz" released by SDSU, Pacific Review’s first-ever Graphic Edition in 2023. Rafael has a passion for telling Gothic tales with Mesoamerican mythology and themes.

Azrael Aguiar is an independent illustrator and comic artist active in the industry since 2017. He had his first formal participation with drawings for a comic from the "Periferia Cyberpunk" anthology. He graduated in Comics at Quanta Academia de Arte in 2019, and has also participated in the "VHS horror" anthology which won the 2019 HQ Mix Award. He's participated in other independent works and is in partnership with several writers. He is currently working on some comics for Mamakoosa, books for Stroud Production Company and developing the authorial project entitled "MAURIAX".

Alejandro Samada is a comic book artist and freelance illustrator. After graduating as an architect in 2018, he soon said goodbye to his career to dedicate himself body and soul to his real passion: drawing comics. For more than 10 years he's worked for different publishers as a graphic designer. As an illustrator he's worked in over twenty titles, including "The Book that Dies" and "Auliya" published in Mexico. He participated in the French-Belgian comics collection "Kronikas, L'inventaire imaginaire" in 2022 and 2023. In 2024 he debuted as an art restorer in the anthology "Screams From the Past - Forbidden Horror Comics" for Grimmcore Studios.

Cover Artist
Ariel Medel has been a comic professional since 2012. He entered the American industry in 2013 working for Zenescope in titles such as Quest, Masumi, Wonderland and Grimm Fairy Tales. He has worked drawing John Carter: Warlord of Mars, written by Ron Marz, Agent 47: Birth Of The Hitman, and Xena: The Warrior Princess for Dynamite Entertainment. He also drew The Unbeatables, written by Fabian Nicieza, for Marvel. He recently finished a 5 issue stint of Evil Ernie, written by Scott Lobdell, for Dynamite Entertainment, and was the artist behind the TMNT/Street Fighter crossover for IDW.

Ivette Céspedes is a Cuban filmmaker and digital artist. She graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) with a degree in Audiovisual Communication Media, specializing in Direction. Since 2019, Ivette has been deeply involved in the international film festival circuit in Cuba. Ivette’s filmography includes a range of fiction, documentary, and experimental works, with her films being showcased at national and international festivals in the country. Additionally, she has been an active independent digital artist since 2022. In 2024 she became the graphic designer behind adapting Grimmcore Studios comics to vertical scroll format.

Matheus Huve is a Brazilian artist who's been working as a colorist since 2019. He works mainly on various fantasy, adventure, superhero and horror projects. His goal is to bring emotions and life to unique universes through his colors. On his free time he likes to to read books and comics, watch movies (a movie buff here!), travel and take care of his cat!

Sid Check was a Polish American comic book artist best known for his stories in EC Comics. In 1948 Check graduated from the School of Industrial Art in Manhattan, and the following year he broke into comic books. His work
appeared in EC's hit titles Crime Suspense Stories, The Haunt of Fear, The Vault of Horror and Weird Science. He also drew for Harvey Comics' Tomb of Terror and Chamber of Chills horror series. He was a contemporary of fellow artists Wally Wood, Joe Orlando, and Harry Harrison, and they were all members of the same art studio. Check left comic books in 1958 and took up work with the United States Postal Service, though he drew a few stories in the early 70s for DC Comics' war titles. His short story "Man with the Broken Neck" is part of Screams from the Past #1. -

Vincent Napoli was an Italian-American illustrator and comic artist. In 1932 he began to draw illustrations for the iconic pulp magazine Weird Tales. After serving in WWII as a Private in the Army Infantry, he married and moved to New York City in 1946, where he continued to draw illustrations for many famous pulp magazines like Astounding Science Fiction, Marvel Science Stories, and Worlds Beyond. Along with pulp magazines he also worked as an illustrator in the comic book industry. His art appeared in Beware, Horror, Chilling Tales, and more, which were published by Trojan Comics and Youthful Magazines. His story "Almost Human" is included in Screams from the Past #1.

Paul Cooper was an American comics artist. He was mostly active during the 1940s and 50s, when he drew crime features for D.S. Publishing's Underworld, horror stories for Fox Comics and Superior Publishers and contributions to Beware, published by Youthful Magazines. From 1954 until about 1956, he was mainly active as an inker. In recent years it’s been speculated that he was one of many uncredited ghost artists employed by Bob Kane in the Batman comic book series, drawing several issues of the original run for DC Comics. His short story "The Murderous Mimics" is included in Screams from the Past #1.

Manny Stallman was a comic book artist and illustrator. He was an assistant for Will Eisner’s The Spirit comic strip early in his career, and he was one of the main artists for Harvey Comics’ horror, war and romance series in the 1950s. In the 1950s, Stallman drew several titles for Avon, Marvel, and DC Comics. In the 1960s, he joined Harry Shorten at Tower Comics, where he worked on the superhero title 'The Raven'. In the final stages of his career, Stallman worked for an ad agency, where he did advertising comics with 'Basky & Robin' and 'Big Boy'. When a 1991 stroke caused his right hand to intermittently go numb, he took it upon himself to learn to draw with his left hand. In his later years he helped teach English and citizenship classes to Russian immigrants and taught computer-aided drawing to disabled children. His controversial short story "Heartline" is included in Screams from the Past #1.
